Below are just some of the many people Maestro Curry has mentored, filling in as the next generation of musical talent.
Jackson Cooper is a community centred arts leader and fundraiser. He is currently the Major Gifts Officer at Pacific Northwest Ballet and an MFA, Arts Leadership candidate at Seattle University. He has worked extensively in the arts since he was 14 years old and across opera, musical theatre, and ballet.
Shelley Livingston conducts the Duke University String School Orchestra and serves as
Principal 2nd Violin and Assistant Conductor of the Durham Symphony Orchestra. She teaches violin as part of a program for minority and disadvantaged students called “Young Strings of the Triangle.”

"American performing artist Danté Harrell earned his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Music from North Carolina Central University and his Masters of Music from Norfolk State University. Danté made his Carnegie Hall debut as Chorus Master for 250 Years of Beethoven, Celebrated featuring An Die Freude. Currently, Danté is serving as Music Director for The Berkshire Theater Group’s production of Nina Simone: Four Women.”

Viswa Subbaraman
Internationally acclaimed American conductor, Viswa Subbaraman, recently served as the Artistic Director/Music Director of the Skylight Music Theatre in Milwaukee. After completing his degrees at Duke University, he worked as assistant to William Henry Curry, Resident Conductor of the North Carolina Symphony.
Vincent currently serves as the Co-Director and Conductor of earspace, a contemporary performance ensemble based in Raleigh, NC. He is also the Music Director of the Lee County Community orchestra and Cover Conductor for the North Carolina Symphony.
